Fighter jets have been in the air over Bornholm
There have been fighter jets in the air over Bornholm this evening.
Alexander Voltov, the head of the Bornholm Police, confirms this to DR.-
It is the usual interception readiness that has been in the air, he tells DR.
The interception readiness is tasked with asserting and enforcing Danish sovereignty and providing support to civilian aircraft. It consists of two Danish pilots who are ready to take off at a few minutes’ notice all year round – in either F-35 or F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft, according to the Danish Armed Forces website.
The Danish Defence Command does not confirm the information and has no comments.
Bornholm Police reports: No illegal drone activity over the weekend.

Two F-35 fighter jets were on the wings over Bornholm and the Baltic Sea late Sunday evening. The deployment was based on suspicion of activity in the Baltic Sea. Nothing unusual was observed.
The aircraft took off from Fighter Wing Skrydstrup at around 2030. They then flew to the area around Bornholm, where they patrolled.
The aircraft then returned to Skrydstrup Air Base.
