Danish Energy Agency Lowers Alert Level Following Drone Incident Review
The Danish Energy Agency has reduced the energy sector’s alert level from orange to yellow, just nine days after it was raised by the government.
This change lowers the alert from the second-highest level to a medium threat level. The agency confirmed the decision in a written statement to TV 2 on Thursday afternoon.
> “The increase in the alert level was based on the general threat situation and observations of drones near energy infrastructure. Relevant authorities have now assessed these incidents. Based on this, the Danish Energy Agency has conducted an emergency evaluation and lowered the level to medium,”
the agency stated.
According to the agency, energy supplies remain stable across all sources, but there is still a continued need for heightened safety awareness.

Understanding the Alert Levels
The sector uses a five-color alert system: white, green, yellow, orange, and red.
White – Normal situation
Green – Low threat
Yellow – Medium threat
Orange – High threat
Red – Very high threat
So, moving from orange to yellow means the overall threat level has decreased from high to medium.
