Two Danish F-35 fighter jets have been placed on standby at Skrydstrup Air Base, according to the Danish Armed Forces.
Their mission is to assist Poland and strengthen NATO’s eastern flank by contributing to deterrence efforts and, if necessary, the defense of the border with Russia and Belarus.
“The Danish contribution will help bolster Poland’s deterrence posture and air defense in the period ahead,” said Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen (V).
