This afternoon, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen shared a post on her Facebook page:
Neighbors and allies standing together
A number of European countries have been hit by drones and other forms of hybrid attacks. It is a serious situation, and I hope everyone can see that no country can handle a hybrid war alone.
That is why we have our strong alliances. The EU and NATO. We cooperate more with our neighbors than before. And I am both grateful, touched and happy that a number of countries are sending their soldiers, personnel and capabilities to Denmark in these hours and days.
We are in a new reality. In these days, we need the help of our allies. Next time it will be another country. And then we are ready to help.
As I have said before, the authorities cannot conclude who is behind the hybrid attacks. But we can state that there is primarily one country that poses a threat to Europe’s security – and that is Russia.
Putin wants to divide us. I will do everything I can to ensure that they never succeed.
