The energy sector experiences daily hacker attacks, and according to Green Power Denmark’s CTO, Jørgen S. Christensen, it is therefore expected that the government will now raise the alert level. In a written comment to TV 2, he emphasizes, however, that there are no current, concrete threats to Danish energy facilities. The purpose of an increased alert level is precisely to detect any threats in time, he explains. Christensen adds that the sector will intensify monitoring of the infrastructure – both through physical measures and technical solutions. The energy sector is already working closely to handle digital risks such as hacking, which has long been a daily challenge.
