US President Donald Trump has given Ukraine permission to carry out long-range strikes on Russian territory, US special envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg said in an interview with Fox News.
Asked whether Kyiv has been given the green light by the Trump administration, he replied:
– The answer is yes. Use the ability to strike deep – nothing is safe.
Kellogg also referred to statements from both Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President J.D. Vance, who have suggested the same thing in recent days.
However, he stressed that the decision to use US weapons will be made on a case-by-case basis.
The announcement comes shortly after Trump wrote on Truth Social that he believes Ukraine could be in a position to reclaim all of its territory “in its original form” – and perhaps even achieve even more.
– Ukraine will have the opportunity to challenge Russia much more offensively when they have the right weapons systems, says Kellogg, pointing out that the US is now considering supplying long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.
– They provide the necessary range. It is an excellent system – and the US makes the best weapons in the world, he adds.
